Reviewing the Content of European Countries’ Official Tourism Websites: A Neo/Post-Fordist Perspective

The content of the EU28 Destination Management Organisations’ (DMOs’) official tourism websites is studied to understand how each country promoting its online position and image, whether this compatible with new forms neo/post-Fordism consumption. research incorporates critical discourse analysis (CDA) as a method analyse for promotion. Today, destinations struggle portray unique image in terms their natural, historical cultural characteristics be ahead competition. This paper aims bring together 27 EU member states United Kingdom’s (EU28) DMOs’ review content. study uses Critical Discourse Analysis aim identifying states’ written web communication potential visitors represented on relation neo/post-Fordism. results suggest that are positioned website urge travellers visit gain constructive experiences within remits neo/post-Fordist characteristics. follows an original approach using CDA production.
